Description

Position: Manager

Department: Finance
Division: Revenue Management
Salary: R488 556 – R670 236 per annum (plus benefits)

Core Responsibilities:

Plan, implement, monitor and evaluate systems and services related to revenue financial practices, ensuring compliance with accounting practices, by-laws, Local Government Acts, legislation and overall finance strategy
Manage the overall customer care center activities of the revenue sections, in close with the different section heads, other department of Council, National and Provincial Government, directives and legislation to ensure an effective and informed division
Facilitate and implement accurate billing, manage total billing integration to general ledger and ensure proper credit control and customer liaison in the revenue division to ensure sufficient revenue collection
Ensure effective implementation of Council resolutions with regard to risk
Monitor and enforce effective financial control, corporate governance and financial compliance
Drive an aligned customer service excellence culture, which enables rewarding relationships and allows others to provide exceptional customer service
Build and sustain relationships with decision makers and interest groups in support of divisional objectives

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

BCom Accounting Degree or relevant equivalent NQF Level 7 qualification
10 years’ experience
Interpersonal skills
